What does it mean
to be a seeker?

How can I
know God?

How Can I Know God

Christianity is not a religion. It is a personal relationship with God. "For now we are all children of God through faith in Jesus Christ..." -Galatians 3:26 (LB)

Becoming a Christian means discovering my purpose in life. "Even before the world was made, God had already chosen us to be His through our union with Christ ..because of His love.... This was His pleasure and purpose."
-Ephesians 1:4-5

There are tremendous benefits to having a relationship with God:

  • Joy, self-control, patience, peace--Galatians 5:22
  • A clear conscience--Romans 8:1
  • God's help when I'm weak--Romans 8:26
  • Confidence--Romans 8:31
  • Eternal life--John 3:15 - 17
  • Why is it that most people don't experience this? Because we all have a natural desire to be in control. "All have sinned and fall short of God's glorious ideal." --Romans 3:23 (LB)
  • When we have problems, we often try many different coping strategies before turning to God. "There is a way that seems right to man, but they end in death." --Proverbs 16:25

So what IS the solution?
God Himself came to earth as a human being to bring us back to Himself. The way to God is a person:

"Jesus said 'I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me'."-John 14:6
"God is on one side and all the people are on the other side, and Christ Jesus is between them to bring them together, by giving His life for all mankind."
-1 Timothy 2:5

God has already done everything necessary for us to experience:

  • Freedom from guilt through forgiveness
  • Eternal life
  • A personal relationship with Him
  • An abundant life!

If you'd like to become a Christian and begin a new life with God, you can do it right now if you'll pray this prayer: "Dear Lord Jesus, I know that I'm a sinner and need Your forgiveness. I believe You died for my sins. I want to turn from my sins. I now invite You to come into my heart and life. I want to trust and follow You as Lord and Savior. In Jesus' name. Amen." If you've made this commitment to Christ, please be sure to let us know. We want to share in your new life with Jesus Christ!
