The mission of Great Commission Ministries is to plant and grow fully functioning churches to reach the youth of every nation for Christ. Currently, we are working with Christ the Rock Church in Turin, Italy to reach The University of Turin, which has a student population of 94,00, with the Good New of Jesus Christ. Operation World has calculated that less than 10% of Italians are practicing Catholics, and among the youth the statistics are more than likely less than 5%. Even more shocking is the news that less than 1% of the total population has a saving relationship with Jesus Christ. Personally, or work here will be to help Christ the Rock Church develop an evangelism and discipleship training center with which we can develop and send teams of Italians to plant churches on every university campus in Italy (There are over 40 university campuses in Italy with student population of 50,000 or more, most of which do not even have one sigle ministry for the students).
